What may be the largest hailstone ever in Kansas lands in Wichita
Joshua and Melissa McCarter were standing outside of their west Wichita home shooting video of a passing hail storm when a stone much larger than any they've ever seen landed in their front yard. On Thursday, The National Weather Service in Wichita determined the stone is the largest ever measured in the state of Kansas, coming in at over 6 and half inches long and over a pound.
